Lets forget the negatives.

I'M HOME I'M HOME I'M HOME SWEET HOME.
I'm finally back from CCAAB. Just when I was starting to enjoy it, it had to end. SAD LIFE. But anyway, here's a recap on the things that we did during camp (:
Day 1:
Start of the camp and I was sitting all alone in LT1 while the teachers were briefing us cos darling Chin Pei deserted me for her boyfriend. Hoho. It's okay. So I decided to be lonely gal for once and its such a pity when I had to secretly laugh to myself when the teachers said something funny cos I didn't wanna LOL and make everyone turn around and see lonely me (:
I was sitting there like a cemented statue waiting for my name to be called so that I could know which group I belonged to. And sad to say, I was all alone in this group called SOLOMON, with no familiar faces at all. Like wow, and I was like telling myself "GREAT! I'm now the loneliest of the loneliest peep in town man!" But thank God, He reassured me that He would be there. And I could really feel this presence which tells me that don't worry. I won't be lonely and true enough, I started making new friends and it was really great (:
Anyway, my group consisted of Melissa (Vice capt of Table Tennis), Nathan (Vice capt of X-Country), Timothy (Vice capt of Soccer), Gabriel (Capt of Badminton), Hui Ping (Vice capt of Track&Field), Adlin (President of Malay Cultural Society), Raymond (Capt of Shooting), Set Zaw (President of Guitar), Desmond (President of Line-In), Faith (Vice Pres of Interact Club), Aditia (Sorry I forgot! HEH), Rachael (Councillor!), Daniel (Head of Quiz), Jonathan (Vice President of Lifeguard), Shu Hui (Vice Pres of Entre).
Oh back to what we did.. So we started cooking at the bleaches for lunch and the noodles were rather uncooked. Hahaha, the start of a caveman's life :/
Left school and headed to the campsite in the afternoon. Checked in to our bunks and it was quite nice. As in it was like huts, and it is non-airconditioned. So two groups share one hut, and it really looked like some holiday inn thing in the afternoon.
Went for sea expedition where we had to build a raft and it had to hold everyone in it and we had to kayak the whole raft from point A to point B. The weather was like drizzling and my hair was like ultimately screwed. Okay I know it always is. :/ Sad case haha.
Anyhow, while making the raft, I was putting my foot under the raft to lift it up so that they could tie it together. And Raymond just had to step on the raft, crushing my poor little toes :/ Hhmpf!
OH MY GOODNESS I TELL YOU, THE WATER WE HAD TO KAYAK IN STINKED AND IT WAS LIKE SOME SHIT WATER. Cos it was near Kelongs and you know they don't exactly do their business in a very glam manner :/
So we launched our boat and TADDAAAA! We managaed to kayak all the way, till the other end while the other team had to swim with their broken raft. (: So it was quite good (: ! And this started our team spirit (:
Then after dinner at night, we had Leadership Workshop. I would say its one of the better workshops I've been to. As in it allows students to share their viewpoints. Rather than someone else rattling on and on about something I so do not wish to listen to (;
I SPY SPY SPY.
Okay, that was random (: So it was Day 2 for camp. And anyway, I forgot to mention, when we went back to our bunks at night it was like SOME NIGHT SAFARI PLEASE. LIZARDS, DEAD MOTHS AND BATS WERE LIKE MY NEIGHBOURS. I slept in fear and trauma. But thank God, He granted me a good night rest though I was a little paranoid. I zipped my sleeping back till the maximun and made sure there weren't any holes for my neighbours to enter my territory. Freaky please!
Day 2:
Woke up at like 5.45am for morning physical training aka PT. They made us do 100 jumping jacks and like 40 pushups I think. And it was so tiring I had to resort to doing the girls push ups and got my knees scratched against the floor. Then morning jog and stuff. It wasn't that killer though. And oh, we had to sing the national anthem twice and the school song 3 times because we weren't loud enough :/ First time I sang so loudly and nicely, I felt as though I was auditioning for Singapore Idol muahaha.
We had to do rope courses, absailing and flying fox that day. Oh man, have I ever mentioned how afraid I was when it comes to heights! And I had to do so many stuff with all the climbing stuff that day, I really couldn't take it! First we had to climb up this really high pole and sit on the wooden plank at the top and enjoy the view. Please, by the time I was up there my legs were like jelly or agar agar, and I had to force myself to stand up so that I could jump off and try to catch this white bar away from the wooden plank. SUPER SCARY SIA :/
Then we had to climb up and balance on this one rope and walk across it with the help of a few other ropes. Freaking scary, but at least now I know I can never be an acrobat :/ I'd rather be the elephant in the circus :/ Then we did absailing and flying fox! Super fun! (: And it was much less freaky, but still, freaky :/
Oh I forgot to mention about the helmet. It was so smelly, I almost fainted when I put it on. All the sweat from everyone trapped inside. Oh my goodness, it was worse than the fish market. Really smelly and itchy and one word, GROSS. Hahaha. And the instructors calls it an AIR CON unit, well I think it was more like a massive stink bomb!
At night, we played some game called Operation Dodo bird where it was like some war game and we had to rescue our hostage, aka spongebob. And it was super scary cos they offed all the lights and we survived on torchlights. I was some captain of my army troop thing and it was super scary cos I was afraid of wierd insects around me. The guys were like shouting all around, like "CHARGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" and everytime I hear that I freak out. I can't imagine what a real war would look like.
I couldn't sleep the entire night and it was really horrible. I had like 20 insect bites. Combination of both mosquito bites and sandfly bites I think. And I look like some polka dotted woman when I put mopiko on myself :/ I had to cover my ears to sleep cos I could hear the mosquitoes buzzing, soooo horrendous. Inconsiderate neighbours!
Oh and we had to wake up in the middle of the night, just when I was about to fall asleep. To do pumping and blah blah blahh :/
Day 3:
Last day at campsite and it was back to ACJC. :/ I was really sad to leave. But anyway, we played situational games and it really tested our team bonding. And it was really good. Afterall, my group was really great (: As in everyone contributed using their own strengths and it was.. good (:
Had campfire that night and it was really fun! First time I really cheered and it was really different. Hahaha, cos I always claim that I cheer lower than most of the girls cos my voice wasn't of the same pitch as the rest, so I felt like some frog croaking and it sounded quite off. But with the guys, I realised that there were more toads croaking and I felt much better to cheer with them around (:
We had to present our campfire item and we started singing a song to everyone, and I being the VERY SHY GAL, couldn't stop giggling the minute I saw everyone. Campfire was fun and eventually, we got the best item for campfire that night and also, the best flag design! WOOHOO!!
Day 4:
Aka today, we were forced to wake up at 4 am all of a sudden. And they made us change into our school blouse and skirt within 2 mins and then when we were done, they made us change into swimming costume and pe attire. Totally man. Everyone was like running zombies. Then we had to play the final challenge. We had to build a raft at the swimming pool and put a casualty in the raft and all of us had to swim and push the raft to the other end. In other words, I had to swim in my swimming costume and that is like once in a 3492908439 years that I do so. So much for trying to get away from swim pe this year, I still had to swim in the end.
After that, we had to go to another station. We had to climb under this really low tunnel and go through it. Then it was the basketball court next, we had to carry the chairs from one end to the other and transport everyone over. That was when we caught up (: !
Then we had to go climb this small hill. You know the one near the school gate, there's this stairs towards sports com, yeah. We had to climb there, then we had to continue to do some task at the netball court. Followed by, going to the drain at the track there. It was like once in a lifetime thing. Super fun! HAHA.
Then we were first by then and we had to run/walk/stroll/jog 5 rounds around the track. And into the steeple chase thing. And it was super tiring for everyone I guess. Some had to carry the raft with our casualty sitting on it, while the rest had to carry bags with loads of stuff in it. And I think I grew 5 cm shorter from carrying the bags cos it kept weighing me down :/
Then after that we had to carry each other over this hula hoop thingie then it was solving the crossword puzzle and the end! And so, my group managed to come in first! Super good (: I'm so proud of everyone! (:
CCAAB elections at LT1 after that and then I cabbed home with Raymond and Nathan!
Anyway, I forgot to say that we had public speaking time like before/after every meal. And thankfully, I wasn't chosen. Ugh. But I was thinking that if I ever had to go up and speak about something, I'd talk about how people feel about shorties like me playing basketball :/ BAHH.
So camp has ended somewhere here. But we've gotta go back to school later in the evening for our graduation ceremony/dinner and we have to wear something formal. Save me I'm gonna wear _______.
Okay I'm off to write some stuff for my group members to give them later! BYEEEEE!
TEDDY BEAR (:
